Switch Tappers
What do you do with the switch tappers? Those Learners who continually tap any switch placed in their personal space. How are they going to learn to use a switch correctly. One method that has proven to be affective is the use of 'differential reinforcement', Differential reinforcement provides no reward (no reinforcement) for tapping the switch. However, when the Learner tires of tapping, a reward is provided!
The reward should be something that the Learner finds very motivating.
