Voice Ink Training
This training covers every aspect of the Voice Ink software. This exciting piece of software allows paper (images and text) to speak: you can import any document created in Microsoft Word and then print to produce sound enabled paper! Create a whole range of learning resources using the patented Voice Ink Software and print it out to use immediately using almost any standard colour printer.
Using the V-Pen is simplicity itself and so really needs very little staff training or support. However, staff need to be made aware of the potential of this new technology and learn how to use the software so that they can produce the best support and learning materials for the people in their charge. The course covers all aspects of Voice Ink. Be the first to develop new ways of using the system to enhance your curriculum ... book your training now!
Description of course
The course begins by outlining and explaining the V-Pen systems and their components. . Thus, staff will feel comfortable with each of the components of V-Pen systems prior to specific training on the use of Voice Ink and be able to see the software as a part of the whole. V-Pens (and components of the packs) will be provided such that all staff will have opportunity for hands-on use of the system.
The major part of the course will be an in-depth look at (and explanation of) the elements of Voice Ink software such that all attending will be able to create their own learning resources. Software will be provided on USB sticks so that all will have hands-on experience in using the software throughout the course to boost confidence in its use. Staff will be able to design and build resources for use with the V-Pen from day one.
The course will also cover ideas for the use and implementation of each of the components of the system across all aspects of the curriculum and with all ages of V-Pen Users from tiny tots to senior citizens (depending on the needs of the establishment).

What level of ability does the course address?
Any potential V-Pen user with any level of Learning Difficulty. The V-Pen can be used by the very young to the most senior of citizens experiencing a diverse range of disabilities. Indeed, the course may highlight potential candidates for V-Pen use that staff had not previously considered. The only criteria for V-Pen use is the ability to manipulate the pen itself whether directly or via some form of prosthetic adaption.
This course is suitable whether working at any age with children or adults.
It can be tailored to specific client groups.
Skill level of people attending.
People attending this course need not have any previous knowledge or experience of working with the V-Pen or the Voice Ink Software.
Requirements
It is preferable (though not essential) that all members of the course have access to a laptop or desktop such that they can run the software. This can be two or three members of staff to each machine if required. If no laptops are available, the software can be projected onto the screen and demonstrated with some, more limited, hands on. If computers are to be provided then the training room must have sufficient power sockets to supply the needs of the devices. Voice Ink software runs directly from a memory stick provided: nothing is installed to the computer. The memory sticks are guaranteed virus free.
All V-Pen equipment will be provided by trainer.
Those attending will have the opportunity to have hands-on experiences with the V-Pen and the V-Ink software throughout the day.
A screen or wall or which to project aspects of the training course materials is also required.
A maximum of 60 people per course is preferable (no minimum).
